Presenter Overview:
The Journey Home
The Parable of the Prodigal Son is a story of lostness, isolation, fear, failure, envy, and broken families. But it is also a story of return, transformation, reconciliation, grace, and unfathomable love. It is a story of returning home. We lose ourselves in the midst of everyday life, and God is beckoning us home. We will journey together with the younger son, the elder son, and the father to not just learn but to experience how we are being called home into the loving embrace of God, our Father.

2024 SPEAKER: DAVID B. CLARK
David B. Clark is a United Methodist Pastor based in southwest Iowa near the Loess Hills. With a love for the outdoors and a passion for faith, David finds solace in hiking, camping, and the simple joy of lakeside contemplation. Beyond his pastoral duties, David is pursuing a doctorate in pilgrimage and eco-spirituality, delving deep into the intersection of nature, Christian spirituality, and the journey of personal and social transformation. As a father of four, David understands the difficulty of navigating the realities of family, career, and the acceleration and alienation of our modern world. David brings a unique perspective to his ministry, inviting others to explore both the landscapes of the world around them and their own inner landscapes of the soul.
"At Wesley Woods, I found more than just a retreat; I discovered a sanctuary for my soul... and every moment is an opportunity for personal growth and spiritual rejuvenation."
