Join us for a weekend dedicated to you and your spouse.
We are excited to invite you and your spouse to a special weekend getaway at Wesley Woods! This will be a memorable experience for you as a couple, and all you need to do is show up—we’ll handle all the details.
God has blessed us with our spouses, and He desires for us to invest time in strengthening and celebrating this union.
This annual winter retreat is intended for engaged or married couples.

Cost: $245 per couple (Overnight)

Pricing includes private housing (restrooms and showers in room or near by) in one of our premium cabins, programming, and meals.
Friday
- 6:30 PM Arrival
- 7:00 PM Session I (includes introductions and announcements, a couples’ get-to-know-you game, worship, and our first session with our speakers)
- 9:00 PM Fellowship and food to end the evening
Saturday
- Breakfast
- Session II (fun activities and built-in couple discussion time)
- Lunch
- Free time (participate in planned activities or explore on your own)
- Camp store open
- Session III before supper Extra fun date night with a romantic supper and entertainment
Sunday
- Light breakfast
- Session IV, wrap-up, and prayer
- Expanded brunch and departure
2024 SPEAKERS:
REV. RON AND BETH CARLSON
Rev. Ron and Beth Carlson started their blended family 28 years ago. Ron is the Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services for the Iowa Annual Conference. Beth is the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. They are parents of 4 adult children and grandparents of 3.
They have together participated in many marriage ministries and couple studies. Bringing to each event, the time for couples to spend time together and find ways to connect. Ron and Beth have had couples return to classes just because their relationship had improved and strengthened so much the first time. Their expertise comes in the way that they bring the Lord and Love together into your relationship.
The Carlson’s ask the question, “Where are you at in your marriage?”
They hope to give you the opportunity to leave all the outside things that pull us apart outside the retreat. Beth shares her desire for the retreat, “we hope that you will join us inside the camp for this weekend of learning, growing, and connecting in our relationships, but also to have fun together. We feel that it is important to take the time to be a couple.”

If you have to be away from home for one night you should be happily sleeping on our warm and updated cabins! We want you to leave refreshed and relaxed. And don’t worry! We’ll make sure you get to have a sleepover with all of your friends! We’ll even have ear plugs for you in case someone in your cabin makes you need them. #wink
We aren’t just saying this because we have to… Our food is seriously one of the BEST parts of camp! Our food service manager brings their personal touch and experience to every meal and we offer a ton of fresh fruits, veggies and options for those with dietary restrictions.
