At Camp Wesley Woods, we do not take lightly our responsibility to find the best staff. All of our applicants must complete an extensive application process, undergo a face-to-face, video, or phone interview, submit at least 3 character references, and pass an FBI and Police background check. We recruit and hire only the very best.
During our summer camps, Camp Wesley Woods employs a Health Center Coordinator to meet the medical needs of our campers. In addition, all of our staff are trained in First Aid and CPR/AED. Our closest urgent care facility is just 10 minutes away and Blank Children’s Hospital, a level one trauma center, is only 30 minutes away.
The physical and emotional safety of our campers is of highest concern to us. Our staff undergoes extensive training to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse, and our policies and procedures all contribute to the safeguarding of our campers. No abuse will be tolerated at Camp Wesley Woods.
The policy says simply this, without exception: Any Camper who is guilty of bullying or ruining another’s camp experience may be sent home. Camp Wesley Woods strives to be a safe and welcoming environment and we reserve the right to remove any individual that jeopardizes those values. Bullying behaviors are not acceptable at Camp Wesley Woods.
